COWBOY GUNWORKS “TOP GUN SHOOTING SCHOOL” The class for June 12, 2010 is full ... Stay tuned for when and where the next one will be held ... Four-time SASS NH State Champion and three-time 'Buzzard Boil' Champion Jimmy Spurs will be hosting a "Top Gun Shooting School" on June 12, 2010 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at The Hartford Sportsman Club in East Granby, CT. All skill levels will be covered from Beginner to Expert. The class will focus on proper gun handling, transitioning from one firearm to another and ways to help each individual develop their own personal rhythm; thereby making shooting stages smooth and efficient. There will be a Cowboy Action Match run by the Connecticut Valley Bushwackers the following day at the same range, in which all the students will have the opportunity to shoot on Jimmy's posse and get the chance to utilize their new skills. All shooting levels were covered: beginner to intermediate to advanced. A large emphasis was placed on transitions and eliminating time throughout your stages rather than just shooting faster. This course focused on helping the shooter develop their own personal style and help enhance their current shooting ability. The fee was $125 per person or $199 for couples. The class ran from 9 am to 5 pm. A ten-stage two-day shoot followed on Saturday and Sunday! April 11-12, 2008 The course was created and taught by “Jimmy Spurs”, two-time SASS New Hampshire State Champion. All shooting levels were covered: beginner to intermediate to advanced. A large emphasis was on transitions and eliminating time throughout your stages rather than just shooting faster. This course focused on helping the shooter develop their own personal style and help enhance their current shooting ability. They learned to develop skills and strategies that allowed them to analyze each stage/match thereby taking them to the next level.
